sweep me in
for I track madness
breathe cold damp winds
down miserable backbones
across your rooftop
am I not war?

I like how this begins as half invitation, half imperative: “sweep me in…”.
Plus this suggests a certain arbitrary fate driven nature, like storm or blowing sand. Then the quick dance of metaphors followed by the identifying question pulls through quickly and effectively like wind or the ravaging, ravishing of violent impulse.

Thank you for the great poems! Some excellent phrases and images. I like the dancing hail.
I’ve just read a few for now, but I’ll be back for more soon . . .
